Zimed Ophthalmoscope features a head with a built-in light source, LED or halogen, which illuminates the eye's interior through the pupil. They include a set of lenses with varying diopter strengths, allowing the examiner to adjust focus and view different depths of the retina. Some come with filters like red-free and polarizing to improve visibility of retinal structures and detect abnormalities. They are usually mounted on a handle with a power source, providing ergonomic control and ease of use.
